My name is Scott Baxter. I am a husband and a father. My wife, Monika, teaches communication disorders at Richard Stockton College. I have two children: a son, Michal and a daughter, Marta. I earned a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 2005 and travelled the world teaching English as a second language, writing, linguistics, and applied linguistics in Poland, Bulgaria, and Lebanon. I lived in North Dakota until August 2014. I now live in South New Jersey, about half an hour away from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Most recently my passion has been reading and recording children’s picture books, but I am also interested in literary fiction, poetry, art and crafts, movies, and discussions of philosophy art, beauty and related concepts.
